Please submit a form first and wait for approval before sending anything to us! When approved, you will receive the same shipping instructions in an email, as well as a form to provide the tracking number.
Shipping: When you create a label, please complete the follow up form that was sent to you to provide the tracking number.
Note: A direct signature is required when we send pieces back to ensure a safe delivery, and we recommend you do the same when you ship. If your items are lost or damaged during transit, not having a required signature removes your right to claim the amount declared or the insured value you requested, if any. We are not liable for any damage caused from shipping to or from our studio.
All incoming packages are held at our secure P.O. box, which we check often. Providing us with your tracking information allows us to plan pickups, and we will send you an email once we have it in our studio.
We understand that not everyone is used to shipping. We will provide a safe and well-packed tube when the work is sent back. We try to return pieces in the same packaging we received them in, but if we must utilize new materials, we will add a charge to the final invoice at our discretion. For instance, if a poster is sent in a small tube, then linen backed, we would need to use a larger tube to account for the increased diameter when rolled.
We look forward to working with you!
Best Shipping Practices
While our business thrives on fixing and preserving your art, we don’t want any unnecessary damage to happen in transit!
Please take the time to protect your pieces accordingly. If sending posters, please send a tube that is well reinforced. Thin tubes in triangle boxes are not enough to save your poster from crunches. Ideally, we ask that you use a double or triple walled kraft tube, plus additional packing materials like bubble wrap or threaded tape. Some customers use a tube within a larger reinforced tube, and that seems to be the safest option we’ve seen!
As a rule of thumb, we always do a test on our tubes by either stepping on them or squeezing them before packing to make sure they’re sturdy enough. Tubes and packages are often handled roughly, and can be pinched and dented easily. While it may be more time and expense up front for the materials, it is well worth it to guarantee the safety of your item!
Similarly, if you plan on sending a piece that’s flat, please take the time to reinforce the package with a strong material like Masonite or another thick board. Rather than taking the chance of having to repair it more, take the time to really reinforce and protect it first!
